Friendship Friday... the how to/ all about story!

So here's the deal... each week I'll post a topic about friendship and you'll share your story on your own blog. Then you'll link your story to my Friendship Friday by posting on the Mister Linky.

I didn't really have a good plan for this week. So, for next week I have a specific topic and you have 6 days left to think about it!!!

"What is your favourite thing to do with your friends and why? Share and we'll see how many new ideas we can try with our own friends."

So remember this will be for next Friday, May 4th (I think lol)

Hopefully next week somebody will sign my Mister Linky!!! and we'll create some new friendships even if they are only "cyber friends"

P.S. Feel free to use the Friendship Friday banner I found... I found it from another site that said feel free to use the banner so I guess that makes it shareware! I'm sure I'll hear otherwise if it's not!

Friendship Friday!

Friendship Friday.... something new I wanted to start in appreciation of the friends I know in life, the ones I want to make, the ones I lost touch with and the ones I have yet to make. I think this is a fairly new linky and we have poetic justice on how we want to post it... so... this week I'm going to tell about one favourite memory with my Best Friends... Andrew (my boyfriend), Johnathon a close friend for many years and Chantelle, a friend whom I've kinda lost touch with since University....

When we were still in high school we liked to camp a lot. So for an adventure we got on our snowmobiles and went to John's cabin for the weekend. I had a great idea that I would make s'mores... you know those yummy chewy graham wafer, chocolate, and marshmallow goodnessy mess! Andrew had never tried them before and being a new couple I really wanted to impress him.... usually I'd do them in the oven but John wanted to do them in the bonfire we had... so I wrapped them up and put them in... but... the cookies burnt before the mellows melted!!! It was horrible and hilarious all at the same time. Yet... we had the innocence of children and it was probably one of the most memorable times we shared together; eating cold and burnt s'mores.
(Notice how I'm not in the picture, because I took it lol.... this was breakfast the next day!)

Just for fun!

I love James Frey and his books "million little pieces" and "my friend Leonard." I know there is serious speculation about what is true and what's not, but the fact is they are great reads either way.

I found this spoof of an excerpt of million little pieces and I thought it was great... hope you enjoy!

YAHHHHOOOOO!

BIG NEWS TODAY!

I have a job for this summer... I'm working at an Esso station (Exxon in the states I believe... they have a Tony Tiger mascot). Anyway I'm starting as a cashier with the chance to be an assistant manager/ Supervisor!

AND.....

THE STRIKE HAS ENDED!!!! now that I'm old enough to appreciate the work that these people do, I also appreciate the medical/dental/optical insurance.... even though I'm only on the pill I enjoy the low cost that the insurance brings at the drug store; there's a big difference in $3/month and $20/month.

The funny part... Dad works one shift and he's "on vacation" hahaha.... how sweet is that!

MARKS! marks! MaRkS! mArKs!

I got my marks back... 3 A's and 2 B's

Here's the scoop

Education 3952 - Assessment - A - 86%
Education 3484 - Computers - A - 87%
Education 3619 - Learning and Cognition - B - 70%
Sociology 2270 - Families - B - 73%
HKR 2005 - Stress Management - A - 80%

So I was pleased with 4/5 marks... only one surprise and that was Ed 3619... I thought I did better in that course... I must have really sucked on the exam... I went in with a 76%avg and the final was only worth 35%.... I guess we all have our weak points...

And it was a very LONG week!

Well Sunday April 15 Andrew's sister arrived... it was in the midst of final exams... I wrote my last on on Monday. She's not here for a vacation and I'm sure everyone here knows it. She had a antibiotic resistant infection in her left maxillary sinus that had to be "manually removed." Not only was she in a lot of pain from the infection (she's had it for almost 8 months now) she has swelling and pressure in her face... so you would think that surgery would fix this problem right?!

Well not so much. Thursday was the big day... she went under for her "simple" procedure at 1:30ish and it was supposed to take 1 hour... about 3 hours before we could take her home. BUT, she had complications... the anesthetic wasn't kind to her and she ended up spending the night. Then we took her home on Friday (after several tests and such to make sure she was fine) with her pain prescription and a new antibiotic to fight off further infection from the surgery (did I mention this was endoscopic... that's right no cuts)

Well she had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic and now she's in misery... the pain is worse than before the surgery and today the swelling is worse than ever before... I'm not even sure what it's from!!! I pray that she recovers quickly... she's only 25 and has so much pain and problems for that age. She is on a new antibiotic so I hope that helps.

I wish very much she was here on a vacation but the truth is... she may not be leaving very soon because she's not allowed to fly yet!

Big NEWS!

Andrew got a work term! Nothing can describe how excited I was when I found out the news. It pays well and it's in St. John's so we won't have to move for the summer...

That means I'm officially not going back to Labrador for this summer. But that is ok... I've spent the past 20 summers there and I'm ready to spend one away... I just need to get a job now... hopefully I can get one at a restaurant so I can make some extra money in tips.

That's my prayer now... that I get a half decent job soon! I just need enough money to get me through school...

God Bless!
